Voice quality evaluation service with automatic MOS measures (Polqa algorithm)

WHAT REQUIREMENTS?

The requirement for Bouygues was to respond to the following questions:

1- Are there any technical causes which explain a worsening of voice quality?

2- Are there any areas for optimisation so as to improve the quality of voice calls?

THE CHALLENGE

The challenge was to bring together diverse and complementary skills so as to be able to:

– manage evaluation teams in the field with hardware,

–implementing the proper tools and methodologies for MOS measurements,

– providing genuine added value in data processing and areas for improvements.

THE RESPONSE PROVIDED

By relying on our operational and technical experience, within the space of just a few days we were able to implement a complete and expert team for measurement and reporting as well as recommendations. We were also able to shed light on the need for using MOS Polqa measurements in the framework of Bouygues activities.

ADDED VALUE CREATED

The Bouygues teams were able to benefit from a measurement and evaluation campaign integrating expertise in terms of tools, analysis and recommendations so as to ensure optimum exploitation of data collected during this service. They were also able, without needing to invest, to test the use of voice quality measurements with the Polqa algorithm.
